The Walbac Mark II copper granulator has been specifically designed to granulate copper samples for the purpose of metallurgical analysis and should not be used for any other purposes.
This granulator is made by our sister company Walbac Tool and Die. The cutter body is made from a solid block of steel.
This Granulator is made for cutting Copper in small pieces from 2mm to bigger in size for impelling and testing in a laboratory environment.

The machine is designed to granulate copper samples usually obtained by a drilling or machining process. The machine will granulate samples whose size exceeds 2mm - 10 mm in diameter or 2mm - 10 mm on a cubic block. The machine is designed for the copper sample to be manually fed via the hopper and the feed rollers. The copper pieces then enter a steel chamber where a rotating cutter block with tungsten carbide inserts shear the material against hardened anvils. The granulated particles then pass through a stainless steel screen and are collected in a stainless steel container below the unit. The cutter block is driven by a 3 KW variable speed motor. To dampen out any internal shocks from the granulation process, the cutter block drive shaft has at its end a fly wheel. The screen is physically clamped to the granulation chamber, but is easily changed if different apertures are required, or if the screen gets damaged. A qualified electrician must be used to connect the machine to the mains.
